Waffle Slayer @ Kampong Bahru

Hi Peeps,

Good Morning, I Miss youuuuuu... #sugarhigh LOL. hope everyone is doing great :)
I know, i hasn't been keeping up with this space of mine lately, so to make it up to you I'm just gonna run a quick updates on my last visit with le gf to one of the newly open café.

Waffle Slayer

This café is situated just right next to Stranger Reunion, you can read my previous post HERE owned by the same owner of Stranger Reunion as thier extended business service based on their best selling butter milk waffle.

Menu

Isn't it's a bit hard to see? (i find it so) because the menu was printed on matte clear paper that seems to be blurry, i'll close it up just for you

Mains

Drinks

"Squid ink pasta? that nothing new, but Squid ink waffle? now i gotta try that" (Talking to myself) tho i'm dying to try the Butter Milk Waffles with Chicken Schnitzel as it was their special menu of the day, but i made up my mind to go for Squid ink waffle & side dish anyway.

Plain water (often tap water) $ FOC a.k.a FREE
Ps : not all restaurant/eatery places in Singapore is willing to provide drinking water, some chargeable, some even ban #ironic
Lemon not included *i squeeze out from my meal
Love the glass bottle tho "Let's make Love, Coffee and Magic" :D

Lotus Root Chips $ 11.90
(serve with Pineapple tomato salsa & spicy aioli)

I love the entire idea of making lotus root into chips, as in most chinese cuisine lotus roots are commonly cook as soup and some other stir fry dishes.
root chips taste a lot like cassava, crunchy crispy and my favourite dipping? Pineapple tomato salsa! it was tangy sweet refreshing, know what's make it even better? dip in both and savour it to the last single bite.

my only missed point is on the serving, i'm not referring to the quantity but the quality. the entire bowl was cold, which i bet must be pre-prepared but other than that, i have no complain

Squid Ink Waffle with Smoked Salmon $ 18.90
(Serve with Poached egg & Hollandaise sauce)

I've read some 'not so satisfying' comment on this black beauty, and when i had my first bite i literally ensure myself to taste it fully. guess what? it taste fine, nothing odd.
some says it has a strong weird smell, etc. well, perhaps it's all back to personal taste of preference.
as i've mentioned it taste fine, but rather mediocre

Banana brûlée Buttermilk Waffle $ 14.90
(Serve with Walnut Crunch & Vanilla Ice Cream)

Le gf was in my opposite appetizing kick, so she op for something sweet. according to her, this is yummeeehh.
and because dine in Waffle Slayer (literally Stranger Reunion) is incomplete without their signature Truffle Fries so she went for 1

Truffle Fries $12.90
(Serve with freshly grated Truffle, Truffled Aioli dipping & Parmesan)

Hi Peeps, Today i'm gonna share with you guys on my dining experience at one of the most famous Vietnamese cuisine, The NamNam Noodle Bar . Just to be honest, i was a Vietnam food virgin until the day i decided to give it a go (late bloomer alert!! *LOL). my biggest temptation was to try their famous street food Phở . Set a dinner date with my besties, so we went to The NamNam Noodle Bar branch at Suntec after work, wish to take more picture but the queue was crazy *as it always been, never once i've seen it with nobody in line. keep reading on, you'll know why ; ) Upon awaiting to be seated, i browse thru their menu to pick up what i'd like to have to fulfill my growling tummy Seated Utterly delighted to found that there are 'Phở Chicken' available on the menu, which doesn't took me second thought to put on my order list. in case some of you wondering why didn't i go for the original Phở (which comes with beef brisket slices), Umm....
