NamNam Noodle Bar @ Suntec (Dinner)

Hi Peeps,

Today i'm gonna share with you guys on my dining experience at one of the most famous Vietnamese cuisine, The NamNam Noodle Bar.
Just to be honest, i was a Vietnam food virgin until the day i decided to give it a go (late bloomer alert!! *LOL). my biggest temptation was to try their famous street food Phở.

Set a dinner date with my besties, so we went to The NamNam Noodle Bar branch at Suntec after work, wish to take more picture but the queue was crazy *as it always been, never once i've seen it with nobody in line.
keep reading on, you'll know why ; )

Upon awaiting to be seated, i browse thru their menu to pick up what i'd like to have to fulfill my growling tummy

Seated

Utterly delighted to found that there are 'Phở Chicken' available on the menu, which doesn't took me second thought to put on my order list.
in case some of you wondering why didn't i go for the original Phở (which comes with beef brisket slices), Umm.. the truth is, i don't do beef.
don't get me wrong, it totally have nothing to do with my religion/believe or whatever. i just so get used to be brought up in a family that doesn't or more like never consume much red meat.

So yeah, that's kind of about that.
Well, tho i've never tasted any Vietnamese food before but i generally got the idea on what to try and i ended up over-ordered because of my excitement to try everything in my head.

Vietnam are famous for their coffee, but i'm not really into one therefore i ordered coconut instead $5.90

Fresh Southern Rolls (sweet shrimp, egg, fresh herbs and some rice vermicelli wrapped in Rice paper) $4.90

Shared this portion of appetizer with my friend, i really love the refreshing combination of the ingredients, but i prefer to eat it with some good squeeze of chili sauce instead of the peanut dipping that the rolls served with (I'm a massive chili lover, everything food just taste better with spicy spark on it, perhaps that's what makes me Indonesian? i bet so LOL)

Le girlfriend ordered her favorite Phở Beef Steak Slices $8.90

Phở Chicken (Rice flour noodle served with chicken breast slices in a savory chicken broth) $7.90

I have no idea how close is the taste of the Phở compares to the original that served in Vietnam, but i'm in love with it already!!! every ingredient just beautifully came together, 0- point.
the chicken meat was tender, yet doesn't come with the kind of strong smells which usually steam/boiled chicken meat has.
the broth was perfect, and what i like about the rice flour noodle is that it doesn't absorb the soup and gets soften quick like most noodle does.

Fish Cake and Tofu Banh Mi $5.90

I'm very much into any food that are non-rice, so this Banh Mi is definitely another steal to me.
Banh Mi is a term use for breads, specifically Baguette by the Vietnamese. it was first introduced by the French during its colonial period, i admire the Asian twist on it which makes the entire meal so flavorful.

Predictably i'm unable to finished up all the food i've ordered, so i requested take-away for my piece of Banh Mi with additional charge of ¢0.50. overall, it was great dining experience.
Price wise, it's reasonable or i can say relatively cheap compare with other restaurant at the surrounding.
the serving was big, which initially judging by the price, i wasn't expecting much but it turn out to be huge. truly satisfying, i'll definitely come back for more Phở affair XD
