I was looking forward to this short gateway ever since the day i booked my trip via Konsortium Tour Agency for 2D1N stay at COPTHORNE HOTEL. the booking process was completely easy and hassle free, service was pretty good. i'm excited as this was my virgin trip to Cameron Highland, but boy.. little did i know it turned to be such disastrous experience.
So, our 40 seater coach was scheduled to depart on Friday Night, 10.30pm sharp. there wasn't any delayed, but soon as we reached Tuas Imigration Checkpoint. there was this horrifying traffic jam which barely even moved, it was so bad that we only managed all immigration clearance both Singapore and Malaysia around 2.30am in the morning #dead. what make it extra challenging to reach Cameron? another traffic jam due to overwhelming amount of coaches + land slide construction along the way.
Not a very pleasant journey to begin with, but thankfully we arrived safely around 11.30am in the morning and our local tour guide suggested to take a lunch break at Brinchang Town before dropping us to the Hotel for check-in. i'll tell you guys more on the end of this post
Moving on post checked-in our hotel, time already show 3pm in the afternoon. i was speechlessly exhaustively helpless! all the plan that i have drafted beautifully
Well, accepting the fact that there's nothing much we can do, i just walked momma to Kea Farm since it was just a short walking distance from the hotel we stayed. Kea Farm is basically a place that is similar to farmer market, where local produce fresh veggies & fruits are being sold as well as tons of souvenirs, plushy and some local snacks
Sea Coconut Fruit
Price of each are raging from RM 5 to RM 8 depending on the size of the fruit, it taste pretty much like Palm Seed or in south east Asian known as 'Attap Seed' except the fresh flesh are juicier and softer. nothing like canned sea coconut texture which already artificially proceed and soaked in heavy sugar syrup. worth a try if you're looking for something refreshing
Cendawan Goreng! (Deep Fried Oyster Mushroom)
One of my absolute favorite Malaysian snack aside from Keropok Lekor
My hand was literally full carrying all mommy's 'shopping spree' which made it impossible to take more pictures, but i bet you guys roughly get the idea on how it looks like in general. So as soon as we got back from Kea Farm, dropping all the belongings to the Hotel, grabbed a cab and headed over to Sungai Palas BOH Tea Plantation.
Guess what? while we were on our way... the downpour started T.T Zomgggg!! nothing seems right, isn't it? *deepbreath
I need a break like seriously, so lets have some tea break while wishfully waiting for the rain to stop. BOH Cafe do offer quite a number of pastries and drinks. since momma and i couldn't decide what to choose, i end up over-ordering as expected. here we got Lemon Butter Cake, Scone (house specialties), Strawberry Cheesecakes and Chocolate rolls, Teh Tarik and BOH Hot tea everything for RM 32
Thankfully the rain stop after a few minutes, although all my plan went completely haywired. but this aftermath cool breeze and view does soothes the gigantic pain in the ass a little LOL

Lastly, momma and i ended our last destination visiting Brinchang Night Market. all the things offered are almost the same as what you'll see in Kea Farm, except more food stalls.
bagged some friends' Cacti sold at RM 10 for 6 to 8 baby pots.
Dinner at Mountain House Charcoal Steamboat, right next to my initial planned venue Kwan Kee Restaurant which has quite a nice review. oh lord.... i was terrified when i realized that I've walked to the wrong restaurant. but the steamboat has been prepared, couldn't call off the order anymore. this is the consequences for being in hurry under the massive rainy weather. most steamboat place at Bringchang Town (along KFC area) are price at RM 20/Pax,
Mountain House Charcoal Steamboat

Taste wise, pretty average. nothing much to brag about, all the ingredients are fixed amount (non refillable). a little bit of everything you see above and + RM 5 for a pot of Tea for 2. the long pipe on the center of the pot might be a pretty unique as it's not something we get to see in most steamboat restaurant, but really guy.. nothing special tho LOL.

Tour
1. If you're planning a 2 Day 1 Night trip to Cameron Highland, try to avoid
- Weekend
- School/Public Holiday
2. To save your time, once your coach reached Cameron Highland. try to get to your hotel by yourself at your own cost. most tour package in Singapore are partnering with local tour agency for selling local tour services, so once you reach Cameron. there will be a guide hopping to your coach and instructing everyone to stay as its part of the 'safety instruction' that they need to ensure everybody's present. but really, in the end they are just making you to stay so that they can explain & offer you the day to day tour package. unless if you're there for long, they do offer reasonable local packages approximately RM 65/pax for each day tour. but if you're only there for a night, just get off the coach (i wasted 3 hours + the traffic)
Self
1. Do bring umbrella or Rain Coat, and thick clothing. the weather in Cameron are relatively unpredictable. it may be sunny and heavy rain the next few second, temperature can go as low as 15 °C in the morning 5300 Feet above sea level (according to the tour guide, if you're going up to the highest point of Mount Brinchang, it can hit as low as 10 °C)
2. Wear shoes instead of slipper
3. Do carry some basic medication with you (Motion Sickness Pills, Panadol, Medicated oil/balm, etc) you never know how your body react to the sudden weather changes, so be caution
4. Plan your visit on weekdays to avoid the chaotic crowd
I hope this post helps to prepare your trip better (than mine, obviously) XD, i had spent over 16 Hours going up there, and another 12 Hours coming back. a total of 28 Hours spent on the road, you don't wanna go thru the same pain as mine, do you? so please, do plan wisely
