Sirocco , Bangkok {Day 2} pt.3

Couple of weeks ago before flying to Bangkok, i did some research for the best dining place in Bangkok. as our initial planned, this trip was meant for our reunion so.. a little bit of fancier touch to spark the togetherness couldn't be any wrong. completed all the inquiries and proposed to the buddies which eventually no objection, cleared all the necessary + reservation and set the final deal that we are going for Sirocco. the guys must be curious over Hangover II scene i bet, particullary Janaaa ahahahahahah

Reached Lebua around 8 pm, and was warmly welcome by all endless smiling staffs. so without any further wait, we just proceed to The Dome for our dinner because we were 30 min late from reserved timing LOL.
that feeling being up on the 63rd floor in 'the world's highest open air restaurant' ← *i'm not exaggerating, but that's what they claimed was just... Stunning (period)
well, just because i love you all so muchhh.. and it's not quite a fair sharing without having a peek, right?
so, here you have it ;)

State Tower

Pictures does no justice seriously, the live view from above was a lot more amazing and i wish i was equipped with better quality camera to share the beauty. but still better than nothing, right?
well, we was all ready for food *hungry faces LOL

The Dome Restaurant, Sirocco

Moving on to the food, i was eagerly wanted to try the chef's tasting menu which consist of 7 courses priced ฿5296.50, but considering majority of the course are the stuff  that i didn't usually take like : foei grass, wagyu beef, etc. rather than having it wasted, we decided to go À la carte

Baguette ฿0

Britanny Diver Scallops ฿1275.3
(Iberian pork chorizo, greek fava beans & purée, pumpkin seed oil)

Britanny Lobster ฿4095
(Poêle poached, celeriac capellini, jumbo white asparagus, fennel essence)

Wild Blue Fin Tuna ฿1860.3
(Pan seared, eggplant rolls, sweet tomato reduction, hazelnut & honey aioli)

Catalan Monk Fish ฿1883.7
(Saffron scented spanish bomba rice, crispy cuttlefish, ink sauce)

12 hour roasted pork ฿2164.5 & French dombes duck ฿1848.6 for the Men

There are many people assuming, high end restaurant food are often 'over-rated'. tiny serving in a huge ass plate, and doesn't taste any where close to good. but truth is, the food we had were all decent. i'm not saying this because 'of course you gotta say it good, even if it's not because you pay a lot for it!' but NO!
i admired the presentation and taste of the food standard which was just excellent ;)

A tad of advice for the ladies who plan a dine, get your hair nice and securely tied. having your hair in loose might not be a good idea, because it's really really windy up there. i literally lost count on how many times the staff have to re-light up the candles and how many times our napkins end up sitting on the floor LOL

after the delightful meal, we took an elevator down to 52nd floor for a drink. Skybar at 63rd floor was a great spot to chill and enjoying the bird view of Bangkok city, but it was overly crowded that we could not move around comfortably.

Had a lots of fun watching the bartender working his magic to whipped up his creation on cocktails, especially fruits cocktails. it's really made out of fresh fruit juice extract from a whole fruits, manually hand mashed and liquorly mixed. btw, the cheapest cocktails ranging from ฿666.9 and above.

See ya on my final post :)
