Strangers' Reunion @ Kampong Bahru (Brunch)

Hi Peeps,

What a gloomy weather we have here in Singapore, hopefully that doesn't effect you much to enjoy the awesome quality time with your beloved in this weekend (perhaps long weekend for some of the lucky you).
and hey "Happy Deepavali" for those who celebrate it, have a good one : )

So today, i went down to 1 of the most highly raved Strangers' Reunion Cafe.
heard that the cafe is kinda packed during the weekend, so to ensure that we would have a seat upon arrival i actually made an advanced reservation a day before.
and it was right, the cafe is completely full house.

Judging by the crowd, i quietly put up some expectation on their food *whispering to my soul 'umm.. must be good'.
now pardon me on the pictures as all are taken via cell phone, i left my camera SD card in the office (how silly) so i just took few pictures of the food.

Well, initially i was excited to try their Panna Cotta, but later i was it was unavailable at the moment.
so at last, i settled for 'Ham and Goat Cheese Omelette' with spicy tomato relish $15

It was my first time to try 'Goat Cheese' literally, and all i can say is that the food wasn't so satisfying.
rather 'bla' to me, that one kind of 'goat' smell which come with it just Ugghhhhh... #myexpectationdiedwithit

Nope, i'm not done there.
call me greedy, i don't mind. i've been reading lotsa blog post of their 'Truffle Fries' with truffle aioli and parmesan cheese $12.90, so i told myself I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON THIS!!

That's it, i was sold by this truffle fries, soooooo goddamn good. couldn't stop munching!! definitely seal the entire deal, the crispiness, the parmesan, the saltiness, the dipping... foodgasm!

and rest of de F&B (Courtesy of Kristin Dameria)

Latte and Mocha, Cappuccino (averagely $4.90)

'Banana Date Bread' with walnut crumble & espresso butter $13.50
'Butter Milk Waffles' with maple syrop and fresh fruit $11
'Scrambled Eggs on Toast' $8

Overall, it was quite a good experience for brunch. serving time was quick, the place is pretty cozy, the food was great too except the goat cheese omelette which is a total 'ew' for me. i'll definitely return to try their other menu, and if you guys are planning for a visit

Ms. Tan, as promised, here is review of Caffein Cafe Batam, located at Nagoya Hill. Comparing with Sg cafe, sure the price is cheaper, but for Indonesian, it is a little bit pricey. Check it out! http://batam-dine.com/2013/11/caffein-nagoya-hill/
