Medan (Travelogue) *Day One

Hi Peeps,

Feels like i've been MIA-ing forever, LOL. I think slowly i started to get very much attached to my blog tho.
Btw, how you all doing people? wish you have a great days as always.
Today, i'm gonna share with you guys on my short visit to Medan last weekend. initially was to attend friend's wedding, but it turned out to be a mini reunion with some of my U-mate.

Left home around 6 am so that i could reached the Changi Airport with spare time to walk and shop around for some gift as my flight is on 08.55 am.
quite a story on the boarding experience.
gosh.. i had a massive 'cardio', running from gate to gate. very unpleasant experience to be shared

Anyway, met my U-mate in the newly operated Kuala Namu airport.

To my most honest, i was impressed by the airport. probably the best i've seen in Indonesia? *i guess
for once i feels like i'm in KLIA, it's huge and the airport Wi-fi is fast too.
truly beyond my expectation, wkwkwk

on our way to tuck-in some good food

After a long thoughts of what to eat, we decided to go for my friend recommendation.

Tabona Eating House
Street : Jln. Mangkubumi
No 17 Simpang Kol Sugiono
Medan - Indonesia
(read more HERE)

He says that it's quite famous in Medan, so i gave it a go.

Kietna Drink

googled some info about this fruit and it says Kietna is originally from Medan, i have no idea how true it was. but as far as i could recalled, i've never tasted any drink in Indonesia which close to this.
taste wise, it's very much resemble the sour plum lime juice that available in most eating house in Singapore. except, slightly bitter.

Kari Bihun Ayam (Chicken curry with rice vermicelli)

i love the rice vermicelli, it's mild chewy yet doesn't soak up the curry soup. the potatoes was soft, flavorful bowl of lunch.
oh yeah, you can choose to add or mix the chicken meat with boiled chicken blood, intestine, etc (certainly not for me, thank you) LOL.

Done with our 'curriful' lunch, proceeded to spent some times hangin' out in down town Café Cosa Nostra Bistro for a lil reminiscing chat

Complimentary Grissini

Fresh Orange Juice for me please

The cafe was pretty decent, cozy and relaxing. serving variety of western and italian cuisine, which unfortunately we were way too full for a try. maybe next time..
After long hours of catching up session, my friend sent us to the hotel for some rest. coz we got a wedding dinner for the night.
Check-in at our complimentary stay Santika Dyandra Hotel by Meri (the bride of the night)

Boom!! me camhoering in the rest room, hahaha

The view outside our room, gloomy sky

The hotel was simple yet comfortable, we had a pleasant stay nonetheless. kinda regreted didn't get to explore the hotel more, you know we girls talk a lot LOL.. so we spent another hours of talking while waiting for the wedding dinner.

Dolled-up!

We arrived at the wedding hall kinda early, as the venue was just right opposite the Hotel like a stone's throw walking distance.
but as always.. Indonesian timing are hardly sharp, FML.

Cheers! :D

Enjoying some dance performances before the bride's make an entrance

Taraaa....

Me and the beautiful bride

We stayed a lil while after the Chinese banquet dinner as per requested by the bride for the stage photo taking, but it was quick because we have the privilege to go first, hahaha..
so after the dinner, my friend drop by to fetched us for some night out.
it's been a while since last i got to enjoy such moment, like what? 3 or 4 years ago? HAhahahha, mehn i'm aging LOL

happened to get to know some of the ladies, and such a coincidence that the 1 sat next to me was my beau primary school mate.
pretty young lady

Last pic before we errr.... (To be continued)

That is all for today, Day Two coming soon ;)

Till Then,
Have a Great Day

Much Love ♥
