Brooks Run Happy 2013

Hi Peeps,

Good day, first of all i sincerely apologize for the 'inaccessible' blog for the past few days. it was down as part of the redirecting process as i'm moving to host on my own domain. anyway, i'm just wanna do a quick update on what I've been up to last weekend.

Does anyone of you join the Brooks Run Happy 2013 last saturday? at first i wasn't aware of this event until i saw the advertisement on Groupon couple of weeks ago, so i thought lets do this! after all, i have not been running/attending charity run event for the past 4 months LOL.

Running is definite my absolute favorite type of sport, tho my running skill are pretty lame #imnotaproffesionalrunner. i used to run like at least twice a week on the average distance around 4 to 5 km on each run, and there was once i push myself to 8 km + and i succeeded *madproud therefore looking at this brooks run on the 9 km seems achievable (i assume)

I signed up and paid for $45, collected my race pack

The race pack consist of Brooks exclusive tee for Run Happy, Strobe light, fitnessfirst 3 days gym access, Active tape sample for muscle support and many of Kiehl's product samples.
what i like about joining running event here in Singapore is not only because i enjoy running but also majority of the organizer use/raises fund to proceed on charity, mostly for cancer society, the disable, kids and to reach those who are in need.

So when passion meet good deed, i found no reason not to join the cause.

The crowd forming pre-start

Flag-off, 1st wave

i was on it, but i think i reached the finish line along with the 3rd or 4th wave? i ran thru the first 5 Km +, but wasn't feeling comfortable with my stomach. it's the kinda of cram feeling around the intestine i guess? i usually had this after a long break of not running regularly, so yeah.. i blame it on myself for not practicing!! but i continued brisk walking nonstoply till the finished line about 1 hour time.

My super unglam & dreadful face WTTuuuttt... *censored

The party help by the organizer which hosted by Zouk club very own DJ on top of Marina barrage

Yes you saw it right, free flow BEER! hahaha.. definitely heaven for the man. there was some free food too (sandwiches, sausages, cream puff, etc), water and isotonic drinks. this is the only event which serve free food and drinks that I've attended by far.
usually there are food booth on most running event, but you gotta pay for it at your own cost. and also Kiehl's booth and some other which i didn't manage to check on because i was busy lining up on the instant photo booth, hahaha...

the medal

I didn't took much photo that night because my bag was locked at the baggage counter, and i was way too exhausted post running.
woke up next morning with a massive sore feet, even worse today. my mom was laughing hard at me because i walk like a 90 years old granny FML. couldn't even effort to have my niece to step on my tight!! *giganticpainintheass
but that all right, the pain of glorious victory!!

Alright guys, i guess that is all for my today 'not important' update LOL.
Beauty post coming up soon, so be on the look out

Till Then,
Have a Great Day

Much Love ♥
