Happened to found out this place coincidentally because i used to visit one of the temple near by for prayer and social work volunteer, in case you guys didn't know, this temple do provide Vegetarian Food all day long.. 7 days a week, 365 days a year without fail at NO COST. yes, you heard me FOC (free of charge)

Alright, back to the topic, a lil glimpse outside Five and Dime Eatery
The urban classy signboard
Brunch Menu
Since i'm such a hopeless 'egg-dict', undoubtedly settled for Egg Benny
Drinks Menu
Twice the size of the brunch menu which is impossible for me to fit in the entire list in the frame, and after ran thru the list i ordered Macchiato for my fix
Some of the random photos i took while waiting for the food to be served
Taraaa...
Espresso instead of Macchiato, LOL... guess the lady misheard me. but that's alright, no biggie
Bello Benny, imma eat you up *evilgrind
i was happy with the presentation of the food which come in generous serving that includes fruits salad in a very refreshing lemon dressing, mesclun greens (love it), breakfast potatoes with bacon bits, brioche and my twinnie bennies in muddy hollandaise sauce
Murderrrrr!!!!
Nom-ing away...
i'm not usually leaving my plate unclear, but i don't to beefy
*gluppp.. done with my kick ass espresso, hahaha.. i swear it was the bitterest yet. i'd always prefer Tea over Coffee, but staying outside the comfort zome is actually pretty interesting sometimes
Just some personal thoughts of my dining experience (since i'm not a food critics neither did i want to list the pros and cons from A - Z),
i just genuinely think the only hiccup was on the food preparation (which i strongly believe it was pre-prepared *probably to save the serving time during pick hours even though most of the tables are empty *those are fully reserved!! ). witness couples of diner who came without any reservation end up seated upstairs.
Back to the food, there's short of like a slightly thin dried layers of the hollandaise sauce that usually cause by open air (i have no idea what is the proper word to describe that, but i bet you know what i mean) on my pouch eggs dressing and to my surprised none of the food are close to warm, not the benny nor the broiche and breakfast potatoes.
Aside from that, i got no further comment. the music was good, service either.
cozy indeed.. will i come back for more? probably yes, but not for the egg benny for sure. and hey, i heard they serve good cocktails at night, i shall give it a try sometimes ; )
Over all, it does ease my craving for pouch eggs tho. but to be honest, it's still far from what i had back on my Melbourne trip last month, check this badboy out
my true definition of PERFECT pouch eggs!!! and the Chai Latte is totally to die for, hahahha...
Well, i do not promise that you'll get the exact brekky as what i had (because it was custom-made by my friend (branch manager) from the same store. she wanted us (my friend and i) to try a little bit of everything they have in store, so it turned out to be AWESOME!)
If you guys happen to visit Melbourne, it's a MUST to give it a go!!! (you'll thank me for this, guarantee!) it's just sssoooowww ssoooooowww good that i literally fell into 'food coma' *growlingtummy
